  • Due to New York State telehealth practice policies, Chia Counseling is currently only able to provide services to individuals in the New York and New Jersey area.

  • 1. The First Session: After the initial consultation, your therapist will ask questions to learn more about you and your concerns for seeking therapy.

    2. Working Together: Your therapist will work alongside you to help you process thoughts and emotions to gain clarity, new perspective, and mental resilience.

    3. Consistency and Care. Remember, therapy is a process, and change is often seen on the other side of adversity. You and your therapist will work together to build a trusting relationship over time and throughout sessions.

  • Sessions are typically 50-60 minutes.

  • Sessions typically take place once a week. If you would like to meet more or less often, speak with your therapist.

  • Please check with your insurance provider to learn about your plan coverage.

    Then contact us through our form with your:

    • Full name,

    • Date of birth,

    • Name of Insurance carrier,

    • and your Insurance Member ID number.

    Once we have your information, we will follow up with next steps.

  • If your insurance is not listed on our insurance page, please contact your insurance company to inquire about your out-of-network benefits.

    Some carriers may reimburse a percentage of the cost back to you, or may require you to meet a deductible.

    Chia Counseling can provide you with a bill for your reimbursement submission to your insurance company.
