Due to New York State telehealth practice policies, Chia Counseling is currently only able to provide services to individuals in the New York and New Jersey area.

1. The First Session: After the initial consultation, your therapist will ask questions to learn more about you and your concerns for seeking therapy.
2. Working Together: Your therapist will work alongside you to help you process thoughts and emotions to gain clarity, new perspective, and mental resilience.
3. Consistency and Care. Remember, therapy is a process, and change is often seen on the other side of adversity. You and your therapist will work together to build a trusting relationship over time and throughout sessions.

Sessions are typically 50-60 minutes.

Sessions typically take place once a week. If you would like to meet more or less often, speak with your therapist.

Please check with your insurance provider to learn about your plan coverage.
Then contact us through our form with your:
Full name,
Date of birth,
Name of Insurance carrier,
and your Insurance Member ID number.
Once we have your information, we will follow up with next steps.

If your insurance is not listed on our insurance page, please contact your insurance company to inquire about your out-of-network benefits.
Some carriers may reimburse a percentage of the cost back to you, or may require you to meet a deductible.
Chia Counseling can provide you with a bill for your reimbursement submission to your insurance company.
